‘Childish’ and ‘Unprofessional’: Russian Envoy’s Harsh Words for European War Hopes

Date:

Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, used harsh language to describe European hopes for a Ukrainian victory, calling them “childish” and “unprofessional.”

Speaking this week, Alipov also referred to the European belief as “craziness” and “belligerence,” asserting that “there is no chance” Russia can be defeated militarily.

He then explained the foundation for his claim: Russia’s nuclear arsenal. He said this is the “simple” reason why Russia cannot be “taken over” in the conflict.

The ambassador reminded his audience that Russia’s state doctrine includes the use of nuclear weapons as a valid response to an “existential threat.”

He also contrasted the European stance with that of Donald Trump, whom Alipov claimed “understands that this war is lost by Ukraine and the West,” even as Western aid continues to flow to Kyiv.
