In a significant diplomatic development, the leaders of Canada, Britain, and France have issued a stern joint warning to Israel regarding its military actions in Palestinian territories. The trilateral statement condemned the renewed offensive in Gaza and criticized restrictions on humanitarian aid as creating “intolerable” suffering. Although acknowledging Israel’s right to counter terrorism, the allies labeled the current operations “disproportionate” and promised “concrete actions” if Israel doesn’t change course. The statement emerged as Netanyahu declared intentions to control Gaza entirely, while ordering evacuations in Khan Younis. With just five aid trucks recently entering Gaza and experts warning of famine, the Western powers also threatened targeted sanctions over Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank.
