Google’s Gemini AI Can Now Build Your Presentations

Date:

Google has added a powerful new capability to its AI, Gemini. A new feature inside the Gemini Canvas workspace can now read your text documents and reports and automatically generate a complete, themed slide deck in Google Slides.

This tool is designed to eliminate the most tedious part of making a presentation. The AI interprets your file—whether it’s a long paper or a simple outline—and creates a structured presentation with titles, section breaks, and even relevant visuals, all professionally formatted.

This update positions Gemini as a comprehensive productivity partner, not just a writing assistant. It can now handle complex design and layout tasks, saving users a significant amount of time and effort.

The workflow is seamless. After the AI generates the initial draft, the presentation can be exported directly into Google Slides. This allows users to easily make any final edits, add their own content, or collaborate with their team.

This new feature is currently rolling out globally. It’s available to both personal Google accounts and Workspace users, with Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers reportedly getting the first access. A wider rollout to all users is expected soon.
